Job summary

Jabil in Prince George, VA is seeking a Test Engineer IV - Electrical to join the startup factory team. The role designs, develops, and maintains test procedures, tester hardware and software for electronic circuit board production, focusing on high-voltage applications.

You will lead testing efforts, review designs for testability, support manufacturing with failure analysis and debugging, generate test data reports, and train production staff while upholding safety and ISO/QS standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science in Electronics or Electrical Engineering from a college or university.
• Ten years experience in electronics/test engineering.
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience with medium/high-voltage electrical testing in a high-voltage manufacturing environment.
• Experience running and setting up HIPOT tests (dielectric and insulation testing).
• Ability to ensure safe test operations and identify safety risks.
• Experience creating documentation for test technicians and operators.

Responsibilities

• Review circuit board designs for testability requirements.
• Support manufacturing with failure analysis, tester debugging, reduction of intermittent failures and downtime of test equipment.
• Prepare recommendations for testing and documentation of procedures from design to initial production.
• Generate reports and analyses of test data.
• Provide training in new procedures to production testing staff.
