Job summary

Test Engineer IV - Electrical at Jabil on-site in Prince George, VA, supports a new factory startup for large form-factor equipment and helps build the operations and process flow from the ground up.

Designs, develops, and maintains test procedures, tester hardware and software for electronic circuit board production with emphasis on high-voltage test methods and safe operations in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of experience.
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience with medium/high-voltage electrical testing in a high-voltage manufacturing environment.
• Experience running and setting up HIPOT tests (dielectric and insulation testing); HIPOT certification preferred.
• Ability to ensure safe test operations and identify and address safety risks.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for systems and equipment.
• Completion of relevant specialized training (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 70E, Arc Flash PPE, LOTO, high-voltage handling and grounding procedures).

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and interview Process Technicians.
• Coach technicians in the interviewing/hiring process.
• Monitor team member turnover; identify factors for improvement; implement changes.
• Coach and mentor Process Technicians to deliver excellence to customers.
• Provide training in new procedures to production testing staff.
