Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Test Engineering in Cedar Rapids, IA, to develop, deploy, and maintain advanced test solutions for Collins production facilities, service centers, and external customers.

You will lead troubleshooting, develop software with C#/.NET, NI TestStand and NI LabVIEW, design hardware drawings, document systems, and mentor junior engineers; a STEM degree and several years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience designing and supporting the design of electrical assemblies.
• 2+ years of experience writing or modifying software source code.
• Typically requires a degree in STEM and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting, deployment, and maintenance of automated test solutions.
• Develop, update, and maintain software using programming languages such as C#/.NET, NI TestStand, NI LabVIEW.
• Design and update electrical hardware drawings for circuit card assemblies, cables, test adapters, and test stations.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for proprietary hardware and software, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
• Apply engineering troubleshooting techniques and tools to diagnose root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor emerging engineers by providing technical guidance and fostering skill development.
