Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an experienced maintenance electrician to lead and support high voltage systems in a manufacturing setting. You will troubleshoot, repair, and optimize electrical equipment, including PLCs, drives, network systems, and associated controls.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to EHS policies, and mentoring coworkers, with opportunities to develop and implement standard operating procedures and maintenance improvements.

Qualifications

• Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or journeyman’s card.
• Minimum 5 years’ electrical experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and troubleshoot to root cause.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain a safe workplace by adhering to EHS policies.
• Fulfill the High Voltage Designee responsibilities for the plant, including committee involvement.
• Provide technical and tactical support on planned/unplanned equipment breakdowns and outages; support HV equipment, 250VDC supply, air compressors, CNCs, crane systems, network systems, PLCs and drives.
• Train and mentor Unit Supervisors and craftspeople; develop training plans.
