Job summary

New Flyer seeks a Senior Electrical Technician to lead programming, troubleshooting, installation and repair of electrical, HVAC and mechanical systems in our manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes high voltage systems safety, detailed diagnostics, and teamwork across shifts to support production schedules.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in electrical/mechanical repair, PLC experience, and the ability to read wiring schematics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical and mechanical diagnosis/repair experience.
• High voltage experience is a plus.
• PLC, ladder logic, AC/DC system experience.
• Ability to read engineering documents and wiring schematics.
• Committed to safety standards and procedures.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Team player with integrity and reliability.
• Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
• Able to bend, stoop, climb ladders; flexible to work 1st or 2nd shift.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Commission high voltage systems and perform commissioning as per NF checkouts and SWIs.
• Troubleshoot and repair high voltage systems and related controls/communication.
• Install, test, diagnose, and repair Customer Installed Option systems.
