Job summary
AVA Energy is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical technical aspects of gas turbine generator packages. You will own retrofits, upgrades and troubleshooting across control systems, generator excitation and auxiliary equipment, while guiding a team of engineers and designers.
You will serve as the primary electrical expert for customers, field service, and proposal teams. Responsibilities include leading control system retrofits, creating and reviewing diagrams and I/O
Qualifications
- Requires a degree in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years in power generation or industrial electrical design.
- Experience configuring and integrating control systems and protective circuits.
- Familiarity with IEEE, IEC, NEC and NFPA 70 standards.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN is preferred.
- OEM aftermarket/service experience is a bonus (SEL/GE Multilin/ABB relays).
Responsibilities
- Lead control system retrofits, panel and MCC upgrades, and excitation improvements.
- Develop and review wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and I/O lists.
- Configure and integrate Woodward MicroNet, Allen-Bradley, Siemens and GE control systems.
- Support root-cause analysis, FATs, SATs and commissioning.
- Mentor junior engineers and support aftermarket bids.
