Job summary

Duke Energy in North Carolina is seeking a Lead Engineer to serve as the site SME for electrical systems at Marshall Steam Station. You will lead complex diagnostics, oversee testing, and guide maintenance programs with minimal supervision.

You will coordinate with Regional Engineering, Transmission, and Maintenance & Operations to address system concerns, budgets, and scheduling, while applying your PE license and 8+ years of engineering experience to drive reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 8 years of related engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as site SME for electrical systems.
• Monitor and trend system and component performance.
• Direct onsite testing and troubleshooting of issues.
• Evaluate PM program performance and adjust as needed.
• Coordinate with regional engineering, transmission, and ops.
• Develop scope and requirements for engineering design changes.
