Job summary
Duke Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineer at Marshall Steam Station to serve as the site subject matter expert for electrical power systems and to support plant operations and maintenance. You will troubleshoot issues, evaluate PM performance, and provide technical recommendations for capital projects with varying supervision levels for Engineer III and Senior levels.
The role requires ABET-accredited engineering degrees and 4+ years of related experience, with travel 5-15% and onsite work
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program is required.
- Master's degree in Engineering may substitute for BS.
- 4+ years of related engineering experience for Engineer III.
- Senior Engineer requires BS in Engineering with 6+ years experience or 5 years with PE.
Responsibilities
- Serve as site SME for electrical power systems.
- Monitor and trend system/component performance.
- Direct onsite testing and troubleshooting for issues.
- Evaluate PM program performance and adjust as needed.
- Ensure regulatory compliance is maintained.
- Interface with operations, maintenance and other departments.
- Coordinate with vendors and drive cross-functional fixes.
- Develop scope and requirements for engineering design changes.
