Job summary

Duke Energy leads critical electrical system operations at Marshall Steam Station, seeking a Lead Engineer to serve as the site SME for electrical systems. You will monitor performance, direct testing, and coordinate with operations, maintenance, and other departments to address system concerns effectively.

The role requires a PE license, an ABET-accredited engineering degree, and at least 8 years of related experience, with remote work not indicated and travel 5-15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (ABET-accredited) required.
• Minimum 8 years of engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• A master’s degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S. degree.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the site subject matter expert for electrical systems.
• Monitor and trend system/component performance.
• Direct onsite testing and troubleshooting activities for emergent issues.
• Evaluate PM program performance and recommend adjustments.
• Ensure regulatory compliance is maintained.
• Interface with operations, maintenance and other departments to address system concerns.
