Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Senior Electrical Product Sustainment Engineer in Costa Mesa, CA. You will triage field failures, drive root-cause investigations, and manage failure data to understand population impact. You will collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, and Production Ops to keep builds on plan and surface issues threatening timelines.

This role requires active U.S. Secret clearance and 8+ years in hardware development or sustainment, with strong problem-solving and PCB/ECAD expertise.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Secret clearance is required and must be maintained.
• 8+ years in hardware product development, sustainment, or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with structured problem solving (8D, 5 Whys, fishbone, FMEA).
• Ability to read schematics and apply best practices to PCB designs.
• Familiarity with Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB interfaces.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Python, JMP).
• Knowledge of analog and digital electronics and circuits.
• Experience collaborating with Quality, Supply Chain, and Production Operations.

Responsibilities

• Triage production and field failures by severity and impact.
• Lead root cause investigations to corrective actions.
• Collect and analyze field data to quantify population impact.
• Work with Quality, Supply Chain, and Production to keep builds on plan.
• Escalate issues threatening build schedules and drive resolutions.
• Implement design and process changes to improve yield and reliability.
• Assess PCN impact and coordinate with design teams for updates.
• Support production test, debug, and failure analysis at board/system level.
• Track sustainment metrics and status of corrective actions.
