Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA seeks an Electrical Product Sustainment Engineer to keep production running smoothly after field deployment. You will triage failures, conduct root cause investigations to closure, and manage field data to understand population-level impact.

You will collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, and Production Operations to keep builds on plan, surface issues, and implement design or process improvements for reliability and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Experience with root cause analysis and structured problem solving (8D, 5 Whys, fishbone, FMEA).
• Ability to read schematics and apply best practices for designs.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools to track failure trends and quantify population impact.

Responsibilities

• Triage failures from production and field; prioritize by severity and population impact.
• Drive root cause investigations to closure with corrective actions as design or process updates.
• Collect, manage, and analyze failure and field data to quantify population-level impact.
• Work cross-functionally with Quality, Supply Chain, and Production Operations to keep builds on plan.
• Surface and elevate issues that threaten the build schedule and drive resolution.
• Implement design and process changes to improve yield, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Evaluate supplier PCNs and assess impact to production; update design as needed.
• Support production test, debug, and failure analysis at board and system levels.
• Track sustainment metrics, corrective action status, and open production issues.
• Work in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple projects and customers.
