Job summary

STO Building Group in Kansas City is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to lead on-site electrical work across construction projects from start to finish. You will oversee installation, scheduling, safety and compliance with codes, and coordinate with project teams to meet timelines and budgets.

The ideal candidate has a degree in electrical engineering or related field and 5+ years with a GC or 10 years as foreman, with strong leadership, problem solving and proficiency in project management

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with a general contractor or 10 years as a trade foreman.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all electrical installations and maintenance activities on construction sites.
• Develop and implement detailed project plans and schedules.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals.
• Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to electrical foremen, journeymen, and apprentices.
• Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment on project goals and updates.
• Ensure all electrical work meets or exceeds industry standards and client specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
• Conduct safety training and ensure all team members are aware of potential hazards and safe work practices.
• Monitor project budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical work, including blueprints, progress reports, and change orders.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports to project managers and clients.
• Liaise with other trades and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
