Job summary

Mass. Electric Construction Co. (MEC) is looking for Electrical Superintendents to lead industrial and advanced technology projects across the U.S. Join a company with a long history and a reputation for tackling complex electrical work.

As a Senior Superintendent, you will mentor field staff, manage project cost updates, approve change orders, and drive safety, quality, and client relations on multi-site assignments. Relocation assistance and a broad benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• 15+ years' construction experience with 5+ years in a General Superintendent/Leadership role.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision and strong leadership.
• Ability to learn MEC policies, procedures, and software.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and grow Superintendents
• Review and approve labor rates for foremen and labor
• Manage contract administration and field management meetings
• Develop a program to maintain good client relations on site
• Attend client meetings for problem resolution and planning
• Oversee monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections
• Review, approve and negotiate change orders
• Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover
• Maintain daily diary for record keeping
• Ensure timely performance evaluations for direct reports
• Recommend organizational, policy and procedural improvements
• Review and approve promotions up to General Foremen
