Qualifications

• 15+ years construction experience with 5+ years in a General Superintendent/Leadership role.
• Experience in civil heavy construction; nuclear experience is an asset.
• Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership, safety, negotiations, planning and contract administration expertise.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and help to grow Superintendents.
• Review and approve the balance of Foremen, journeymen and laborer’s composite labor rates.
• Manage contract administration and communication across subcontractors and field staff.
• Develop programs to maintain good client relations with on-site staff.
• Attend client meetings for problem resolution and planning.
• Oversee monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections.
• Review, approve and negotiate change orders.
• Plan for project completion and turnover.
• Maintain daily diary for records.
• Ensure timely performance evaluations for direct reports.
• Recommend organizational, policy or staff changes.
• Review promotions up to General Foremen.
