Job summary

RTX is seeking an Electrical Subsystems GS Technical Lead to direct a cross-functional team in delivering complex RF and analog/digital electronics for the Flight Avionics Department. The role emphasizes leading trade studies, defining interfaces, and delivering a cohesive system of systems.

This on-site position in Tucson, AZ requires a DoD Secret clearance, senior technical leadership, and willingness to travel as needed. Mentorship and collaboration across programs are integral to the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• RF sub-systems, systems engineering, requirement development, validation, and CCA design experience.
• Experience leading a technical team on a complex subsystem and coordinating across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical integrity of the GS and TDP development, validation, and integration.
• Manage technical risk for the GS and oversee failure investigations.
• Provide technical oversight of hardware and software interfaces and subsystem requirements.
• Guide design reviews, debug, and testing activities in lab or field environments.
• Collaborate with suppliers and customers, including international partners, as needed.
• Lead multi-phase hardware systems lifecycle efforts including architecture and trade studies.
