Qualifications

• Skilled in English oral and written communication.
• Experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS.
• Computer literate knowledge including Outlook, Excel, Word.
• Bechtel systems familiarity: Setroute, Teamworks, Smart Complexations.
• Prior startup/commissioning experience on large projects.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, SLDs, wiring, instrument loops and PFDs.
• Understanding of startup, operation, maintenance, testing.
• Knowledge of engineering systems and calculations.
• Experience with instrumentation documentation and maintenance plans.
• Ability to specify and source control devices for process systems.
• Ability to test, calibrate, install, repair, inspect equipment.
• Review project designs and recommend safety/operational changes.
• Physical ability to walk long distances and climb during site work.

Responsibilities

• Reports to Bechtel Thacker Pass Commissioning Preoperational Manager and CSU Manager.
• Lead electrical startup engineering for the Thacker Pass Project and coordinate with disciplines to complete testing activities.
• Develop Advanced Work Packages for Electrical precommissioning and commissioning testing.
• Prepare startup procedures and system/unit test procedures and related documents.
• Prepare, award and administer specialty subcontracts to support commissioning.
• Provide on-the-job training to client personnel as required by contract.
• Contribute to engineering revisions based on startup experiences and procedures.
• Draft detailed startup plans and monitor startup schedule and budget.
• Lead system turnover walkdowns and manage punch list items for electrical equipment.
• Work hours may include shiftwork, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
