Job summary

Lawrence Perry And Associates, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to join its integrated MEP+L Systems Engineering team in California and Texas.

You will lead electrical design for a range of projects, coordinating with architects, clients, and consultants to deliver high-performance, sustainable solutions. The role emphasizes strong knowledge of NEC and energy codes, value engineering, and experience with large-scale, complex projects including laboratories and performing arts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering with focus on building power and lighting systems.
• PE license in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of NEC and energy codes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee electrical drawings for schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
• Lead electrical design and coordinate with other disciplines on equipment power, lighting, and special systems.
• Ensure compliance with design standards and code requirements for medium-voltage and utility systems.
• Contribute to projects of varying sizes, including large-scale, technically complex projects with emerging technologies.
• Develop electrical design solutions, evaluate distribution schemes based on cost, efficiency, and constructability.
• Prepare labor hour and fee estimates; review construction cost estimates; develop specifications.
• Perform feasibility studies including load analysis and metering strategies.
• Support construction administration: punch lists, RFIs, submittal reviews.
• Design and coordinate systems such as photovoltaics, standby power, BESS, and fire pumps.
