Job summary

Southland Industries in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee large project teams and multiple projects. You will serve as the primary contact for project teams, coordinate with clients and leadership, and drive strategy, staffing, and performance.

The role requires a four-year engineering degree and at least 12 years of experience with 5 years in people management. You will lead a large team, communicate across stakeholders, and use CADD/ERP tools to support design

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Engineering or applicable experience.
• Minimum 12 years’ experience, including at least 5 years in people management.
• Mastery knowledge of design systems (HVAC, plumbing) and design engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with all levels of employees, clients and general contractors.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Proven ability to lead a large team.
• Strong public speaking ability.
• Strong computer skills including CADD, ERP, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provides project status updates to client and leadership.
• Maintains solid client relationships and sources revenue opportunities.
• Develops and implements project strategies.
• Manages budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders.
• Participates in project meetings with internal departments.
• Delegates work and mentors the project team with coaching and feedback.
