Job summary

Southland Industries in Houston, TX is seeking a senior project manager to lead a large project team or multiple teams, coordinating staffing and performance appraisals and serving as the primary point of contact for the project team.

You will provide status updates to clients and leadership, maintain strong client relationships, develop and implement strategies, and manage budgets, change orders, and cost projections.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Engineering or applicable experience.
• Minimum 12 years’ experience, including minimum 5 years’ people management experience.
• Mastery knowledge of applicable systems design (HVAC, plumbing, etc.) and design engineering aspects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage a large project team or multiple project teams, staffing and performance appraisals.
• Provide project status updates to client and leadership.
• Maintain solid client relationships and identify revenue opportunities.
• Develop and implement project strategies and manage budgets, change orders, and cost projections.
• Participate in project meetings with internal departments and mentor the team.
