Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead power systems design in Mexico City. You will design and optimize electrical power systems, develop schematics, and perform advanced load flow and protection studies.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred), and proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, and PSS/E. Fluency in English and Spanish is required, with a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in electrical power systems design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, PSS/E or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical power systems including schematics, single-line diagrams, and control logic.
• Conduct load flow studies, fault analysis, and protection coordination for LSMH voltage systems.
• Select transformers, switchgear, motors, and generators per project specifications.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and project teams for seamless execution.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and bid documents.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical issues during design, construction, and commissioning.
• Ensure designs comply with safety regulations and standards.
• Stay updated on power systems engineering advances.
