Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of power systems analysis to join our Atlanta-area team. Hybrid work combines on-site presence in Peachtree Corners, GA, with remote work, supporting substation, transmission, and renewable projects.

The candidate will perform comprehensive studies using ETAP/SKM/PSCAD/EMTP-RV, collaborate with clients, and mentor junior staff while traveling to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power/Power Systems) required or significant experience in lieu.
• 10+ years of experience performing electrical analysis.
• Experience using ETAP, SKM, PSCAD and EMTP-RV for power-system studies.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform studies such as relay setting calculations, power system calculations, arc flash calculations, cable ampacity calculations, transient analysis, harmonic analysis, renewable energy calculations, and grounding/induction calculations.
• Travel to client offices and project sites for on-site consultation as needed.
• Collaborate with project teams and clients to deliver detailed electrical analyses and tailored solutions.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and support mentorship within the team.
