Sargent & Lundy in the Atlanta metro area seeks a Lead Electrical Analytical Engineer specializing in EMT analysis for power systems. The hybrid role combines on-site work at the Peachtree Corners office with remote work from home.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in time-domain analysis, strong PSCAD/EMTP-RV skills, and experience with TOV, TRV, switching studies, and insulation coordination. Excellent communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• ABachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power/Power Systems) and sufficient industry experience considered in lieu of a higher degree.
• 12+ years of experience in time-domain analysis of power systems.
• Proficiency in PSCAD or EMTP-RV for complex electrical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed time-domain electrical analyses to evaluate system performance and identify issues.
• Perform calculations related to TOV, TRV, switching studies, and insulation coordination.
• Develop and implement solutions to optimize system performance and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical expertise and support in electrical analysis and troubleshooting.
• Prepare comprehensive reports documenting findings, recommendations, and design changes.
