The role requires 10+ years in building systems, a PE license, and the ability to mentor staff, lead client engagements, and collaborate with project teams. This hybrid position anchors two in-office days weekly in Austin and supports growth within the practice.

Qualifications

• 10+ years as an MEP engineer in building systems or infrastructure.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Current PE license is required.
• Experience with building and electrical codes.
• Experience supervising staff and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the electrical discipline within the office and region.
• Mentor and develop department staff and implement development plans.
• Act as local supervisor for staff.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on budgeting, scheduling, and staffing.
• Drive project execution from concept to construction administration.
• Lead technical communication with clients as Engineer of Record.
• Support regional leadership and organize discipline meetings.
• Collaborate with owners, architects, and contractors to ensure outcomes.
• Oversee recruitment and retention to build a strong team.
• Establish and maintain engineering standards and QC procedures.
• Lead and manage a group of electrical engineers within the office.
• Support business development through client engagement and proposals.
