Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech Company, is seeking an Electrical Designer in a hybrid Austin, TX work environment. You will design electrical power systems, develop layouts, and perform load calculations for diverse projects, collaborating with architects, consultants, and contractors to deliver constructible solutions.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, 4+ years in MEP design, and REVIT proficiency, with eligibility to work in the United States. Two in-office days weekly in Austin are expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an MEP Designer in the building construction industry.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan electrical power systems for commercial, advanced technology, mission critical, education, government, healthcare, science & technology projects.
• Design and specification of power and control systems, system layouts, load calculations, equipment sizing and selection, lighting calculations and controls.
• Collaborate with architects, outside consultants, code officials, and contractors.
• Coordinate with internal teams of other disciplines for integrated design.
• Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and equipment selection.
• Support electrical code research for project-specific issues.
• Assist with construction administration tasks, including RFIs and equipment submittals.
• Interface with code officials and contractors as needed.
