Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Senior Electrical Lead Engineer with 10+ years of building systems experience to lead design excellence and mentor a team.

You will guide electrical engineering projects from concept to construction, collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors, ensure quality and compliance, and help grow the practice in a hybrid work environment with two in-office days weekly.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as an MEP Engineer in infrastructure and/or building systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Current Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
• Working experience with building and electrical codes.
• Experience managing staff as a direct supervisor.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position is not eligible for current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the electrical discipline within the office and region.
• Mentor and develop department staff, fostering career growth through structured development plans.
• Be a local supervisor to staff.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on budgeting, scheduling, and staff management.
• Drive project execution from concept through construction administration.
• Act as the Engineer of Record, leading technical communication with clients.
• Play an integral role in regional leadership, contributing to strategic initiatives and organizing discipline meetings.
• Collaborate with owners, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Manage regional staff workload effectively, leveraging local leadership.
• Oversee recruitment and retention efforts, ensuring a strong engineering team.
• Establish and maintain engineering standards, best practices, and quality control procedures.
• Be able to lead and effectively manage a group of electrical engineers within the office.
• Support business development efforts through client engagement, proposal development, and industry leadership.
