Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, seeks a Senior Electrical Lead Engineer in Austin, TX. This leadership role guides the electrical discipline across projects in healthcare, commercial, and mission-critical facilities, mentoring staff, and coordinating with clients, architects, and contractors to deliver high-quality design through construction.

You're expected to drive technical excellence, establish standards, oversee project teams, and support business development while maintaining strong client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 10+ years of experience in MEP/building systems or infrastructure.
• PE license is required.
• Experience with building and electrical codes.
• Experience supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the electrical discipline within the office and region.
• Mentor and develop department staff, fostering career growth.
• Be a local supervisor to staff.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on budgeting, scheduling, and staff management.
• Drive project execution from concept through construction administration.
• Act as the Engineer of Record and lead technical communication with clients.
• Lead regional discipline meetings and initiatives.
• Collaborate with owners, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful outcomes.
• Oversee recruitment and retention to maintain a strong team.
• Establish and maintain engineering standards and quality control.
