Job summary

Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) is seeking an Intermediate E&I Technician to provide electrical and instrumentation support at field assets across tank farms, pump stations, and facilities. You will perform installations, calibrations, maintenance, and repairs, often with minimal supervision, in open environments with heat, cold, and exposure to high voltage and chemicals.

The role requires strong reading of electrical drawings, familiarity with PLCs, and a solid safety record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; apprenticeship in related trades preferred.
• Minimum two years of relevant field experience.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform instrumentation and preventive maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
• Calibrate equipment and resolve abnormal conditions per vendor guidelines.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance on site.
• Respond to emergencies as part of field operations.
