Job summary

Plains is seeking an Intermediate E&I Technician to provide electrical and instrumentation support across field assets, including installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair. You will work at tank farms, pump stations, and control centers, often with direct supervision and in extreme outdoor conditions.

This role requires performing routine instrumentation and preventive maintenance, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and coordinating with contractors during projects and

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
Preference for experience with instrumentation and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

Perform instrumentation and preventive maintenance on centrifugal/positive displacement compressors per vendor guidelines.
Maintain calibration equipment and diagnose abnormal conditions following vendor manuals.
Conduct preventive maintenance on control devices (flow, temperature, pressure, level) per vendor manuals.
Service control valves and regulators and document findings.
Support safety and process monitoring systems and resolve issues per procedures.
Assist with custody transfer equipment and related facility safety checks.
Coordinate with contractors and respond to emergency events as needed.
