Job summary

Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) is seeking an Electrical & I Technician to support Sherwood Park and area facilities. The role involves installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems in field environments with exposure to heat, cold, and hazardous conditions.

The position requires a high school diploma and preferred dual tickets in Electrical and Instrumentation technology, plus 5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret electrical drawings, maps and schematics.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for field coordination.
• Ability to perform load studies and related calculations safely in a field environment.
• Experience with medium/high voltage electrical systems and switchgear preferred.
• Proficiency with basic computer tools (Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Perform E&I technician responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Maintain calibration equipment and reference vendor manuals.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on control devices and pumps.
• Respond to emergency events and support safety and regulatory compliance.
