Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors in Richmond, VA seeks an experienced Electrical/Instrumentation Drafter to design and detail electrical systems for industrial projects. You will produce installation details, MCC wiring schematics, lighting and power layouts, and support startup activities under supervision.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD drafting, 4+ years of relevant experience, NEC familiarity, and proficiency in 2D AutoCAD or Microstation.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD drafting required.
4+ years of relevant electrical/instrumentation drafting and design experience.
Familiarity with NEC and project design criteria.
Proficient in 2D AutoCAD and Microstation.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical/instrumentation design tasks under supervision.
Produce installation details, single lines, layouts and diagrams.
Support on-site startup activities.
Adhere to department drafting standards.
Recognize and communicate scope changes promptly.
