Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Memphis, TN is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Designer to execute complete designs for complex projects in industrial settings. The role requires 8+ years in electrical and instrumentation drafting, proficiency with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical, and collaboration with multi-discipline teams to meet project requirements and safety standards.

Qualifications

8+ years of industrial electrical/instrumentation design experience.
Proficient with CAD tools including AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
Knowledge of NFPA-70, IEEE, ISA and OSHA standards.
Strong attention to detail and cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

Create electrical and instrumentation deliverables using CAD software.
Prepare BOMs, cable schedules, device lists and scopes of work.
Collaborate with mechanical, process and structural teams to meet project requirements.
Ensure designs comply with NFPA-70, IEEE, ISA, OSHA and company standards.
Coordinate with contractors and field electricians to ensure proper installation.
Review designs to minimize impact on other disciplines.
