Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors seeks an Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer to perform complete design tasks for projects of varying complexity. You will develop detailed designs, calculations, and construction documents under supervision, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and support field startup activities.

A strong NEC background and experience with vendor drawings are essential. You will contribute to efficient construction layouts, material take-offs, and cost-effective

Qualifications

• Knowledge and application of the NEC (National Electrical Code).
• Ability to size wires, conduit, and overcurrent protection for lighting and power.
• Ability to perform lighting level calculations and voltage drop calculations.
• Ability to develop instrumentation and control system specifications.
• Familiarity with ISA standards for instrumentation and controls.
• Experience with vendor drawings and construction submittals for electrical input.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete electrical and instrumentation design tasks under supervision.
• Produce detailed designs and material take-offs for estimates.
• Create and check electrical installation documents from vendor drawings.
• Resolve layout and detailing issues with drafting group.
• Coordinate with design leaders from other disciplines to ensure timely project completion.
• Provide field support during startup and site visits.
