Job summary
Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Birmingham, AL seeks a senior lead designer to supervise a team of designers and deliver electrical and instrumentation deliverables on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This role requires extensive experience in electrical/instrumentation design and ability to manage scope, cost, and schedule with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities include creating installation details, MCC single lines, cable schedules, and control panel layouts; mentoring
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD is required.
- 15+ years of industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation design.
- Strong NEC knowledge and ability to size conductors and cable trays.
- Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a design team to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
- Produce electrical installation details, MCC single lines, layouts.
- Provide on-site startup support and client liaison.
- Review calculations for codes and standards.
- Mentor junior designers and ensure quality checks.
