Job summary

COMPA Industries seeks an Electrical / I&C Inspector to support a major Savannah River Site project. The role focuses on developing and executing Quality Control Inspection Plans for electrical and instrumentation and controls scope, supervising QC engineers, and ensuring field inspections meet project requirements.

The position is on-site in Aiken, SC with a 1-year base contract and two 1-year options, requiring the ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance and prior DOE/NQA-1 experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 8-10 years of practical experience in construction inspection or related area.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience as described in the posting are acceptable.
• Well developed organizational and supervisory skills with good communication talents.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct quality control engineers assigned to perform inspections and surveillance.
• Develop, revise, and peer review Quality Control Inspection Plans for electrical and I&C scope.
• Perform field inspections, document results, and issue Non-Conformance Reports as required.
• Review product and process compliance with drawings, specifications, and requirements.
• Establish priorities and resolve problems affecting quality activities.
• Review and approve subcontractor quality procedures and monitor adherence.
• Prepare quality procedures to ensure proper inspection, testing and surveillance.
• Coordinate QC activities with other construction departments to ensure compliance.
• Prepare status reports and participate in contract discussions related to quality.
