Job summary

Longenecker & Associates (L&A), a Geosyntec Company, seeks a Principal Electrical Quality Control Engineer (Electrical I&C Inspector) to oversee QC inspections at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions in Aiken, SC. The role emphasizes leadership, compliance with design output documents, codes, and standards.

The ideal candidate has DOE/NQA-1 experience, U.S. citizenship, and a track record of coordinating multiple QC activities while maintaining safety and quality across complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 8–10 years in construction inspection or related areas.
• Associate's degree plus 10–12 years of experience equivalent to the above.
• High school diploma plus 12–16 years of experience equivalent to the above.
• Certification in areas of responsibility with ongoing training per project quality program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct quality control engineers assigned to inspections and surveillance.
• Provide QC support to construction management and guide personnel to implement quality requirements.
• Establish priorities to support construction/operations needs and resolve complex issues.
• Lead and train staff to ensure safe work practices and adherence to site policies.
• Participate in contract discussions related to quality activities.
• Prepare status reports and review subcontractors' QC procedures for adherence.
