Job summary

Engineering Systems, Inc. (ESi) is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support field investigations and technical analyses for complex failures.

You will assist in preparing comprehensive reports, working with lawyers, insurers, and clients across varied industries, including transportation and equipment failures. The ideal candidate has 0–5 years of experience, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, and an eagerness to learn forensic consulting while developing expertise in litigation support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• E.I.T. or ability to obtain a P.E. license is required; P.E. license is preferred.
• 0–5 years of experience in electrical engineering, consulting, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in field investigations of electrical systems and equipment failures.
• Perform engineering analysis under supervision and apply NEC/NFPA 70E/IEEE/OSHA standards.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports and supporting documents.
• Assist with deposition and trial preparation; may provide testimony as experience develops.
• Support client presentations and communicate findings clearly.
• Collaborate with project personnel to gather information and provide technical support.
• Seek guidance from more experienced consultants and engage in ongoing professional development.
• Support business development activities as appropriate.
