Job summary

Powell Industries is seeking a Field Service Technician to ensure safety, quality, and performance of Powell equipment across the US and Canada. You will perform installations, preventative and corrective maintenance, and coordinate with customers and internal teams.

The role requires strong problem-solving ability, teamwork, and willingness to travel extensively to service regions on the West, Gulf, offshore, and East coasts. Training provided and regional support available.

Qualifications

• Four or more years as a shop and/or field electrical/breaker technician.
• Basic knowledge of ANSI/IEEE C37 switchgear standards.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Complete site documentation (time sheets, service orders, materials used).
• Communicate work schedules to Field Operations Scheduler and District Service Manager.
• Travel up to 85% of the year; coordinate with customers and vendors.
