Job summary

Intermountain Electric, Inc. (IME) is seeking a Lead Estimator to shape pre-construction cost estimates for electrical projects across our Western US operations. You will analyze project documents, develop estimating strategies, and lead a team of estimators while collaborating with project teams.

The role requires strong due diligence, proficiency with Accubid Live Count, BlueBeam, CRM, and Microsoft Office, plus the ability to manage multiple bids and maintain estimating records with integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in construction/estimating.
• Strong experience in construction electrical estimating.
• Field experience preferred.
• Experience leading or mentoring team members preferred.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete quantity take-offs, material pricing, labor costs, and equipment estimates.
• Review plans and bid documents to define scope and requirements.
• Perform on-screen and off-screen take-offs.
• Lead complex estimating efforts and transition to operations.
• Manage proposals from development through submission.
• Mentor estimators and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Maintain estimating records and CRM updates.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
