Job summary

Intermountain Electric, Inc. (IME) delivers electrical solutions across the Western US and is seeking a Lead Estimator to drive pre-construction cost estimates for complex projects.

The role requires developing estimating strategies, reviewing plans, and coordinating bid deliverables while mentoring other estimators and collaborating with project teams to ensure accurate, competitive bids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree with construction estimating experience; field experience preferred.
• Experience in electrical estimating and leading proposal efforts.
• Mentoring or leading team members is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete quantity take-offs, materials, labor, equipment costs for bids.
• Review plans and bid docs to define scope and requirements.
• Perform on-screen and off-screen take-offs and develop estimating strategies.
• Coordinate proposal deliverables and pre-qualification documents.
• Lead project risk evaluation and maintain estimating records.
• Mentor estimators and collaborate with project teams and clients.
