Job summary

Intermountain Electric, Inc. (IME) seeks an Estimating Manager to lead the estimating and proposal functions for complex electrical projects, delivering accurate cost assessments and competitive bids.

This role partners with leadership, operations, and clients to drive preconstruction success with safety and quality in mind. You will develop and mentor a high-performing estimating team, maintain CRM data, and promote value-engineering opportunities while aligning with IME's standards and the IME

Qualifications

Experience leading estimating, proposal development, and preconstruction for complex electrical projects.
Proven ability to present value-engineering solutions and develop accurate cost estimates.
Strong knowledge of estimating software and technology platforms.

Responsibilities

Lead the estimating and proposal process for project pursuits with strategic direction.
Review drawings/specs to define scope, risks, and opportunities; participate in RFQs/RFPs.
Prepare executive bid estimates and maintain CRM data for decision-making.
Manage bid reviews, ensure compliance, and promote continuous improvement.
Lead and mentor a team of estimators to deliver timely, high-quality estimates.
Develop client and industry relationships and ensure smooth handoffs to operations.
