Job summary

Intermountain Electric, Inc. seeks an experienced Estimating Manager to lead the estimating and proposal functions for complex electrical projects.

You will collaborate with leadership, operations, and clients to drive accurate cost assessments, competitive bids, and preconstruction support while mentoring a high-performing team. In this role, you will review drawings and specifications, manage bid submissions and prequalification packages, and ensure compliance with safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Experience leading estimating and proposal teams for complex electrical projects.
• Ability to review drawings, specifications, and project documents to define scope, risks, and opportunities.
• Proven experience with RFQs, RFPs, and client interviews.
• Develop detailed cost estimates and bid documentation for executive approval.
• Lead process improvements, ensure compliance with regulations, and manage handoffs to operations.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing team of estimators.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating and proposal process for complex electrical projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to define scope, risks, and opportunities.
• Participate in RFQs, RFPs, and client interviews with professionalism.
• Prepare executive-level bid estimates for final approval.
• Maintain bid logs, dashboards, and reporting tools to support leadership decisions.
• Lead corporate bid reviews and ensure accuracy and compliance.
