The ideal candidate has extensive electrical construction knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple estimates without compromising safety or profitability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in electrical estimating or related field.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and specifications.
• Thorough understanding of NEC and construction standards.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specs, addenda, schedules to determine electrical scope.
• Prepare material and labor takeoffs for commercial/industrial projects.
• Develop estimates for lighting, power distribution, switchgear, generators, fire alarm, low-voltage systems.
• Analyze labor, material costs, equipment needs, and subcontractor pricing.
• Prepare bid proposals, scope letters, and supporting docs.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and bid reviews.
