Job summary

P1 Construction, LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to join our Lenexa, KS office. You’ll compute cost factors, lead the estimating team, and work with marketing to identify bids that fit our strategic goals.

You will also promote our capabilities to owners and general contractors while coordinating with clients and vendors to finalize estimates. The role requires extensive experience in electrical construction estimating, strong cost-analysis skills, and proficiency with estimating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a construction or electrical engineering related discipline or
• At least five years of electrical construction/service field experience/training/education or an equivalent combination
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Ten or more years of electrical construction estimating experience with an electrical contractor preferred (industrial, healthcare, etc.) and bids on projects $500,000+
• LEED Certification preferred but not required
• Experience with Accubid Anywhere or Enterprise is preferred
• Must have accurate typing and be proficient in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Compute cost factors and prepare estimates for planning, bids, vendors, and cost effectiveness.
• Lead estimators and staff, manage assignments, performance, and training.
• Review market potential with Marketing for bids aligned to company goals.
• Promote company capabilities with decision makers in owner or GC companies.
• Consult with clients, vendors, and others to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
• Identify cost trends to aid cost reduction and process improvements.
