Ideal candidates have 5+ years in electrical estimating, strong knowledge of electrical systems and codes, and experience with design-build or negotiated work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical estimating experience within electrical contracting.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specs, and contract documents.
• Experience developing estimates across multiple project sizes and delivery methods.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle electrical estimating from conceptual budgeting through bid submission and project turnover.
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for electrical construction projects.
• Develop pricing for change orders, value engineering opportunities, and scope modifications.
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and vendor costs.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, bid documents, and contract requirements.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, project walkthroughs, and scope review meetings.
• Prepare comprehensive proposal packages and scope letters.
• Coordinate with project managers, operations teams, engineers, owners, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Identify project risks and develop competitive bid strategies.
• Support and mentor junior estimators as needed.
• Maintain awareness of market pricing, labor trends, and procurement challenges.
