Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Estimator for our Chester, VA office to join a national electrical contractor’s Mission Critical team. The role focuses on estimating large-scale electrical construction and data center projects valued up to $50M, coordinating with clients, vendors, and preconstruction teams.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in electrical estimating, strong Excel skills, Accubid experience, and the ability to read complex drawings and

Qualifications

• 4+ years electrical estimating, cost control, or engineering in commercial/industrial electrical construction.
• Data Center / Mission Critical experience preferred.
• Experience estimating large-scale electrical construction projects.
• Experience with Accubid.
• Strong Excel and software for estimating and project management.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Pre-employment screening required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects up to $50M.
• Perform complete electrical takeoffs from drawings, plans and specs.
• Develop accurate proposals covering scope, labor, materials and project costs.
• Coordinate the estimating effort from initial review through submission.
• Lead internal estimate reviews prior to client submission.
• Maintain project documentation through preconstruction and handoff to the project team.
• Work with Project Managers to establish budgets and buyouts.
• Prepare pricing for new projects, change orders and modifications.
• Review specifications to identify cost and schedule impacts.
• Negotiate with vendors for competitive pricing.
