Job summary

Williams Electric & HVAC in the Dallas–Fort Worth area seeks a Senior Electrical Estimator to prepare complete estimates for commercial and light industrial projects. You will lead takeoffs, pricing, scope development, and final proposals, mentoring junior estimators and coordinating with preconstruction, PMs, and field personnel to ensure accurate bids.

The role spans from renovations to multimillion-dollar contracts, with growth opportunities within a growing estimating team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct commercial/industrial electrical estimating experience.
• Ability to prepare estimates from initial documents through final proposal.
• Experience estimating multimillion-dollar commercial or light industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical drawings, specs, NEC, and construction methods.
• Proficiency with Trimble Accubid, ConEst, McCormick or comparable software.
• Ability to evaluate vendor quotations and develop complete labor/material pricing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete electrical estimates including labor, material, equipment, subcontractor pricing, and indirect costs.
• Perform detailed takeoffs and review drawings, specifications, schedules, and addenda.
• Develop estimates usingTrimble Accubid Anywhere.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotations for scope and exclusions.
• Identify scope gaps, design conflicts, constructability concerns, and pricing risks.
• Prepare proposals, alternates, scope summaries, clarifications, and exclusions.
• Support preliminary budgets and value-engineering options as needed.
• Coordinate with project managers and field personnel to validate labor assumptions.
• Present estimates for final review and explain key costs and risks.
• Mentor junior estimators and review takeoffs/pricing.
