Job summary
RPM Electrical in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to accurately estimate costs for industrial projects and prepare detailed proposals for manufacturing customers. The role requires strong cost analysis, blueprint reading, NEC familiarity, and a track record in commercial/industrial estimating.
The Senior Estimator will review plans, conduct site visits, and collaborate with the management team to ensure cost control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in CM or related field
- Experience in industrial/commercial estimating
- Ability to read blueprints, plans and specs
- Familiarity with NEC and building codes
- Strong math, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical and industrial control projects
- Review project plans, specs, and drawings to determine requirements
- Conduct site visits to assess scope and conditions
- Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to estimate expenses
- Identify risks and challenges that may affect costs
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing
- Use industry-standard software to create estimates
- Monitor and track project costs throughout the project
- Collaborate with construction management to ensure cost control
