Job summary

Koch Engineered Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator for repowering and restoration projects in the solar and BESS space. The role focuses on developing accurate, comprehensive estimates for retrofit and restoration across utility-scale facilities.

The ideal candidate has strong electrical construction estimating experience, uses industry-standard tools like InEight Estimating, and can support proposal development with solid risk assessment.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating electrical construction work for EPC, contractor, or similar org.
• Experience estimating work on existing facilities with incomplete docs.
• Knowledge of cost estimating best practices and estimating software tools.
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs, labor modeling, productivity analysis, vendor quote evaluation, and contingency development.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, BOMs, and specs to develop accurate solar and BESS estimates.
• Develop detailed bottoms-up cost estimates for labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, rentals, mobilization.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from as-builts and design packages.
• Lead the estimation assumptions, exclusions, allowances, escalators and contingency strategies.
