Qualifications

• Estimating experience in industrial, commercial, EPC or mission-critical construction.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and specs.
• Knowledge of materials, installation methods, and labor requirements.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs and subcontractor bids.
• Excel proficiency; familiarity with estimating software (Bluebeam, McCormick, Accubid).
• Travel nationwide as needed; strong analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical and instrumentation estimates for complex projects.
• Review drawings, specs, and bid documents to define scope.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost calculations for materials, labor, equipment.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for competitiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams during bids.
• Analyze labor productivity and material pricing for cost drivers.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walkdowns.
• Develop proposal documentation and final bid packages.
• Maintain historical cost data and improve estimating accuracy.
