Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks an experienced Electrical Engineering leader to design systems for large municipal facilities, refineries, and manufacturing plants in an in-office El Paso setting.

You will perform load calculations using SKM/ETAP/Excel, model systems, and prepare specifications while coordinating with architects, contractors, and other engineers. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in at least one state.
• 10+ years engineering experience, preferably in a consulting firm.
• 5+ years managing engineering teams or departments.
• Knowledge of NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE and ANSI standards.
• Experience with SKM or ETAP software.
• Experience in substation design and high voltage coordination.
• Ability to prepare electrical system specifications and drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication, client-focused.
• Leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for large municipal buildings, water and wastewater facilities, refineries, and manufacturing plants.
• Perform electrical load calculations using load calculation software (Excel, SKM, ETAP, Easy Power).
• Model systems and calculations; develop specifications.
• Coordinate with mechanical engineers and external architects/contractors.
• Review RFI's and contractor submittals.
• Attend site meetings and conduct site observation tours.
• Prepare reports and collect data for projects.
• Meet with vendors to determine specifications for projects.
• Provide client-focused engineering services and ensure quality.
